No-nonsense career common sense.

Constructive feedback is one of the most valuable "gifts" you can receive at work. Getting comfy with this process can be a huge career advancement shortcut.

Who is Bossy Skirt?

I’m a mentor, an ally, an online resource, a public speaker — and most importantly, I’m here to help. In every space, I can offer you the advice you need to accelerate your career.

Yes, I may seem like the colorful aunt who loves to offer unsolicited advice. But unlike her, I’m actually qualified to offer career advice. As an experienced executive who ran multi-million dollar operations, and broke her way into the boy’s club, I know a thing or two about this stuff.

The buzz about Bossy…

I had the chance to attend a live talk yesterday with Bossy Skirt. I WISH I had the opportunity in college to hear just a portion of the insight she shared. No bullshit, straight to the point, relative work insight that will no doubt help and change the course of these kids careers and life paths that had a chance to be there. Share this with anyone you know between 18-35 (and beyond!). She may just make your career a better place.

Bossy Says:

Work can be soul-sucking so find ways to make it as enjoyable as possible. Spend as much time as you can with encouraging co-workers and avoid negative people (they make a bad situation worse). Volunteer - for projects at work that you enjoy or outside of work for causes you support. Working hard at “keeping your cup full” will help you survive the darker days.
